Diameter tolerance of forged bars
Forged + rough turned bars are mostly produced with a tolerance of -0/+3 mm.
Forged + rolled bars are mostly produced with a tolerance of -0/+6 mm.
Ovality is measured at any point at least 100 mm from the end of the bar. It must not exceed 75% of the tolerance field of the diameter (corresponds to EN 10060).
Sraightness of bars
For bars 25 ≤ d ≤ 80 mm, the straightness tolerance is 0.4% of the measured length, for bars 80 < d ≤ 250, the straightness tolerance is 0.25% of the measured length (corresponds to EN 10060).
